该书主要由12篇评论文章组成，来自不同领域的专家学者——高校教授、建筑评论家、政府官员、开业建筑师、记者等——分别以各自不同的视角对建筑师彼德・劳伦思及其作品加以评述，旨在通过外界从不同角度（关系、声誉、结果、愿望等）对建筑师作品作出反应和评论，探究建筑的真意，推进建筑设计的研究。前２篇为对彼德・劳伦思的建筑风格和理念的总评，后10篇分别针对建筑设计作品。书后有12个评论人的简介。<br />该书的视角颇为独特，以外界评论为主、客观地评判建筑师的作品，内容新颖、涵盖面广，读者可以从中学习如何拓宽思路、更全面地理解建筑的意义。

古丽亚・迪科提（的里雅斯特，1976）以优异的成绩毕业于格拉茨工业大学（奥地利）建筑专业以及威尼斯大学建筑研究所。专攻艺术与建筑评论的自由作家。目前她与彼德・劳伦思在茵斯布鲁克的建筑事务所合作，从事规划、设计竞赛和平面设计。
Giulia Decorti (Trieste, 1976) graduated with praise in architecture at the Technische Universität of G raz (Austria) and at the University Institute of Architecture of Venice. Free-lance correspondent for specialized reviews such as Arca and Archinfo. At present she collaborates with peterlorenzateliers,where she is concerned with planning, design competitions and graphics.
安德里亚斯・席克林格（雷根斯堡，1970）在慕尼黑工业大学以及意大利IUAV大学学习建筑。他作为一名工业设计师与数家建筑事务所合作，例如阿尔多・罗西事务所以及其他不同的意大利公司。2002年始，他在切辛那建筑学院任教。他在亚洲和欧洲指导设计工作室。
Andreas Sicklinger (Regensburg, 1970) studied architecture at the Technische Hochschule of M unich and at the IUAV. H e collaborated with several architecture offices, such as Aldo R ossi’s one, and different Italian firms as industrial designer. Since 2002 he has been teaching at the school of architecture of Cesena. He supervised design workshops in Asia and Europe.
